The End

The End

By Jovan Dučić

I want to leave, once miseries are gone,
A long nostalgia in your heart, and morrow
When it is all over, you may look back on
Happiness with pain and with joy on sorrow.

Once everything falls, I want my love
To perish inside of you like a daffodil
That dies on a grey day: and the smell of
It is the aching soul that lives on still.

And once these days are gone forever,
If you need to hear my name one more time,
May it be heard within your heart, however,
As the whisper of a kiss and sigh of a rhyme.

Kraj

Hoću u tvom srcu, posle tamnih jada,

i kad opet htedneš čuti moje ime,
ko šapat poljupca i uzdisaj rime.
